National Ozone Unit Presents Tool-kits to the TA Marryshow Community College

tamccSt. George’s, Grenada:  September 16th, 2014 was commemorated by the National Ozone Unit (NOU) as International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.  As part of the activities planned to recognize this day, the National Ozone Unit in its continued support to the Heating, Ventilating and Air-conditioning (HVAC) program at the T A Marryshow Community College presented the College with toolkits needed by the students to enhance the learning experience there.

On Thursday September 17th, National Ozone Officer, Leslie Smith, in a short ceremony, presented the tool kits to Dean, Marlene Findlay, who received on behalf of TAMCC, in the presence of faculty staff and year 1 and year 2 students of the HVAC class.

Among the items presented in the kits were: multi-meters, thermometers, tube cutters, screw drivers, pliers, electrical testers, goggles and refrigerant manifold gauges.

Over the years the NOU has made similar presentations to TAMCC, including the presentation of over thirty (30) scholarships to students to pursue the HVAC program at the college.
