President of the Grenada Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Ventilating Association, Mr. Michael Mitchell will be the guest of Honour to the Barbados Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Association of Technicians at a General Meeting of the Association to be held on Friday August 19th, 2011 in Barbados.

Mr. Mitchell leaves Grenada on Friday morning to attend the special event later on that afternoon.

At the meeting Mr. Mitchell is expected to make two presentations to the participants at the meeting on the following topics:

  • The success of the Grenada Refrigeration Association
  •  Hydrocarbon Use in Grenada

GRAVA has been recognized as one of the leading association of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (RAC) technicians in the region and has taken on a leading role in the introduction of hydrocarbon technology together with other regional countries such as Jamaica and Belize.

This is not the first time Mr. Mitchell services has been requested to perform this task. In 2008, Mr. Mitchell also travelled to Guyana to assist the technicians there in the re-organization of their association. Also, in 2010, another executive member of GRAVA, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Henry Frederick, represented GRAVA at a regional meeting in Guyana for RAC technicians and made a similar presentation.

Mr. Mitchell is expected to return to Grenada on Saturday August 20th, 2011.
